48th Annual Morris Kelner Memorial Conference on Pediatric Dentistry

The Kelner Conference is held each February to focus on pediatric dental education and shared research among local postgraduate pediatric programs. This year’s participating institutions included Jefferson Einstein Medical Center, Temple University Hospital, Nemours Children’s Health, St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, the University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

In addition to being our pediatric dentist at Babbie, Dr. Amanda serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Within this role, Dr. Amanda served as a research mentor to two pediatric dental residents at Penn’s program, Dr. Caroline Greco and Dr. Joni Cheung. At the Kelner conference, both residents presented on “Parental Engagement with Social Media Regarding Their Child’s Oral Health Care Needs” and “Information at Your Fingertips: Assessing Online Health Resources”. Drs. Caroline and Joni both did an incredible job on their respective projects and presenting at the conference.

Within our the Babbie office, our team stays up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in pediatric dentistry to ensure our patients receive the most effective, evidence-based treatments. For this reason, our team prioritizes continuing education and professional collaboration as we incorporate the newest techniques, technologies, and guidelines to make every patient visit as comfortable, safe, and successful as possible.
