Give Kids a Smile Day 2026

This year, our team had the chance to be part of Give Kids a Smile Day at Rowan College at Burlington County.

We joined a team of volunteers helping provide free dental care to 115 children—care worth over $70,000 in just one day. Patients received exams, cleanings, sealants, radiographs, fillings, crowns, and extractions. And while the numbers are impressive, what really stuck with us was seeing how many kids left the clinic smiling, talking about their experience, or proudly showing off a balloon animal or face paint. We also loved all of the service dogs that got to be a part of the day – and so did our patients! For many of these children, this wasn’t just a dental visit—it was a positive first impression of what going to the dentist can be.

Some of the day’s highlights in numbers for this past year’s event:

• 115 exams
• 226 radiographs
• 108 cleanings
• 100 fluoride varnish applications
• 222 sealants
• 60 fillings
• 3 crowns
• 3 pulpotomies
• 12 extractions

Being part of this day reminded us why community outreach matters. Seeing so many children receive much needed care—and leave with a positive experience—is something we’re proud to be involved with!
