When it came time to rename the office, I initially struggled with what that name should ultimately be. The process brought about some mixed emotions with wanting to be respectful of the office’s history, while starting to plant roots of my own. Ultimately, the name I chose was one out of love. It is a name inspired by my late grandmother – a woman who was such a fundamental part of my life and dental journey. Someone who still inspires me to this day.
It holds a lot of meaning for me to be able to blend my family history with that of the office – one that has treated countless of families over many generations. A gentle reminder to honor the past while moving into the future.
Creating the official signage felt like the first step in this new story. One that I entrusted to my friends at Deptford Signarama. I have known the owners of this business since I was born, as they were my neighbors during my young childhood. They were like a second family growing up, and having their help, guidance, and support as I ventured into my own business journey was incredibly special to me. They were also so efficient and detail oriented in the design and execution of the signs, that I was happy to also know and work with them as a customer.
There’s that saying – “It’s not personal, it’s just business”. But sometimes a business can be made better, if not more meaningful, by becoming personal.
